One year until election day, well... give or take a day

So lets get this clear, I'm biased. I am a rather unabashed Democrat. I'm not saying I would never agree with a Republican on anything, nor that I would never vote for a Republican if there was one I agreed with. But in the past four years, during which I have been able to vote, that has not yet occurred.

Well now that that is out of lets think about a year from now on election night and the following day. Who's going to win? To be honest I think it will take quite a bit spin by the right to build up one of their candidates to the level that they will win by any margin. I'll be the first to say I like Obama, and I do not blame him for what has and hasn't happened in the past 3 years. While I hate to play blame games, in my mind I lay the blame at the feet of the any corporations that never tracked the effects of their practices past the next quarter's profits.

So to follow that course of action, I find myself opposed to any politician who makes excuses for the "job creators". That is what I'll remember on election day. I'll also remember the barriers to bipartisanship erected by some Republicans, and I will most certainly remember the whole debt ceiling debacle.

But like I've multiple times, I'm biased. What is your opinion reader?

Ladies and Gentlemen

So this is it. The first post.

So here I am breaking ground on a new project that I hope may be quite successful. My aim here is to create a political opinion blog that will be a forum in which I can express my political views and maybe even garner some feedback from readers.

But first thing's first, who am I?

Well I'm a bit reluctant to reveal my real name, but you can call me 1.More.Statistic for now. I am a white, middle-class, college student, age 22, and majoring in psychology. I was raised in Florida, and now live in Chicago with my wife (Yeah that's right I said wife). I read comic books, play video games and enjoy long walks on the beach.

Anyway, the real point of this intro is to tell you, the reader, that I am not a journalist. I do not gather information. all of my writing, while honest, is all subjective. Opinion. That's all I am doing and all I am to be. I am humbly offering up my take on news and events that I will likely find out about by one of three sources: CNN.com, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, or The Colbert Report. I'm not trying to be a news junkie, I am just trying to be myself, and express myself.
